That was a really tough weekend at the second round of the FIA European Championship in France.
Fastest overall in the final free practice session on friday morning – and then two hours later 14th in my qualifying group, 41st overall. Qualifying lasted 6 minutes … after 3 minutes it started to rain. I simply didn’t get the one lap in dry conditions.
Das war ein wirklich hartes Wochenende bei der zweiten Runde der FIA-Europameisterschaft in Frankreich.
Schnellster im letzten freien Training am Freitagmorgen – und dann zwei Stunden später 14. in meiner Qualifying-Gruppe, 41. in der Gesamtwertung. Das Qualifying dauerte 6 Minuten … nach 3 Minuten begann es zu regnen. Ich habe einfach nicht die eine Runde im Trockenen geschafft.
Heat 1 – Track blocked in turn 1 – DNF
Heat 2 – a colleague spins me around in turn 3 – DNF
Heat 3 – track blocked in turn two – off through the grass – front fairing penalty
Heat 4 – front fairing penalty from the first corner and too slow to get to the front
Heat 5 – with the rain kart in the dry – wrong gamble
… and Super Heat from P29 to P20 – but again front fairing penalty – P25
Heat 1 – Strecke blockiert in Kurve 1 – DNF
Heat 2 – ein Kollege dreht mich in Kurve 3 um – DNF
Heat 3 – Strecke blockiert in Kurve zwei – ab durch das Gras – Strafe für die Frontverkleidung
Heat 4 – Strafe für die Frontverkleidung in der ersten Kurve und zu langsam, um nach vorne zu kommen
Heat 5 – mit dem Regen-Kart im Trockenen – falsches Spiel
… und Super Heat von P29 auf P20 – aber wieder Frontverkleidungsstrafe – P25
It was really hard … but I will work harder and come back stronger
Before we continue in Slovakia with the 3. round of the champions of the future series, I’ll start preparing for the world championship in the UK doing Clubsport and British Championship in PFI the next two weeks.

Bevor es in der Slowakei mit der 3. Runde der Champions of the Future Serie weitergeht, werde ich mich in den nächsten zwei Wochen in Großbritannien auf die Weltmeisterschaft im Clubsport und die Britische Meisterschaft im PFI vorbereiten.
