It was a difficult Campions of the Future weekend in France.
After 3 days of testing and 5 sessions of free practice during the event – in the final free practice I was 0.072 seconds behind in 3rd place in my group – two hours later in qualifying, I was only 18th, 0.508 seconds behind. We just fitted another new set of tires on the same chassis.
Es war ein schwieriges Campions of the Future-Wochenende in Frankreich.
Nach drei Testtagen und fünf freien Trainings während der Veranstaltung – im letzten freien Training lag ich mit 0,072 Sekunden Rückstand auf Platz 3 in meiner Gruppe – war ich zwei Stunden später im Qualifying nur 18. mit 0,508 Sekunden Rückstand. Wir haben gerade einen neuen Reifensatz auf das gleiche Chassis montiert.
18th place in the group means 54th place overall in the field of 95 starters this time.
… after a tough battle in the heats and the pre-final, I ended up in 16th place after a spoiler penalty that I had already incurred before the race. Unsatisfactory.
The FIA European Championship continues at the same place in 10 days‘ time I will come back stronger
Platz 18 in der Gruppe bedeutet diesmal Platz 54 in der Gesamtwertung des 95-köpfigen Starterfeldes.
… nach einem harten Kampf in den Heats und im Prefinale landete ich nach einer Spoilerstrafe, die ich schon vor dem Rennen bekommen hatte, auf Platz 16. Unbefriedigend.
Die FIA-Europameisterschaft geht in 10 Tagen an gleicher Stelle weiter. Ich werde gestärkt zurückkommen.
